Our South West natural environment is important in its own right, but it also underpins our economy, health and our wellbeing. Yet nature is in decline. It is vital that we halt this decline and secure nature’s recovery in a generation, not only for its own sake, but for what it does for us.
However, the National Trust, RSPB and The Wildlife Trusts think that nature is the missing issue from the 2015 general election. We’d like this to change and make nature an important part of the discussion in the run up to 7 May. You can help us! On this site you can find a complete guide to all the important issues facing nature in the South West.
What You Can Do
Use the drop down menus above or the picture tiles below to find out what the big nature issues are in your constituency. Then, why not start a conversation? Discuss and share the issues, where you live, face to face and through social media.
Hold conversations with your parliamentary candidates. Ask how nature can be protected where you live. And let us know how you get on. South West Nature is too important to go missing from Election 2015.
Together, let’s show we care.
